HOW DO I ACTIVATE WEBROOT TOOLBAR IN MY GOOGLE CHROME?


Webroot Toolbar offers many features which you can add as an extension to your internet browser. One of the most common internet browsers is Google Chrome, which is used by masses around the globe. So, in this section of the blog, we will be focusing on the step-by-step procedure of how you can activate the Webroot Toolbar on your google chrome. For activating the Webroot toolbar on your google chrome, two methods are provided below:


METHOD 1

  • The first thing you have to do according to method number 1 for activating your Webroot Toolbar is. First, you must make sure there is an update available for the Webroot antivirus software you have installed on your computer.

  • Then to install the chrome extension, Sign in to the Google Admin console.

  • An admin console dashboard will appear on your screen; click on “Device Management.”

  • After that, on the left side of your screen, click on “Chrome Management.”

  • On the next screen, click on “App Management.”

  • After that, on the right side of the screen, click on the three dots to bring up the overflow menu. Over there, select “Add Custom App.”

  • Once you select it, a custom app dialog will appear; over there, enter the ID.

  • After all the above steps, follow just a few more steps to activate the Webroot toolbar successfully. To enable the Webroot toolbar, launch your google chrome.

  • Next, press the three vertical dots, which is the “Menu Button.”

  • A drop-down Menu Bar will open on your screen; from that drop-down menu bar, select “More Tools” and then click on “Extensions.”

  • Once you tap on “Extensions,” it will open a menu with all the extensions that are installed on your Chrome client.

  • Over there, locate the toolbar extension. Then enable the toolbar by pressing the slider on its next.

  • Then double click on the Webroot icon on your desktop.

Note- Although sometimes the Webroot Toolbar is hidden on the screen, it will still continue to work for the protection of your web data and internet security.


METHOD 2

The second method to activate Webroot Toolbar is quite simple; all you have to do is follow the steps given below:

  • On the upper right corner of Chrome, select the options button.

  • A drop-down menu will appear on your screen; from that, choose “Settings,” which will open the settings tab.

  • On the left margin of the settings tab, select “Extensions” to see the extensions page with all the available extensions.

  • Choose “Get more extensions” by scrolling down in the above section.

  • Then navigate the Webroot Toolbar here; you have just to move the slider to enable the extension on your google chrome.
